I’ll piggy-back off 4WD and DaveJam comments with my vehicle use applications. My 2001 4Runner is used to deliver mail on a rural route for USPS. It takes me approximately 9 hours to drive 100 miles. That’s a lot of idle and slow speed driving time. Also I encounter extreme dusty conditions from...
Thats interesting because a lot of people on here, myself included, has used or is currently using HPL oil that have had great results cleaning the ring lands with no reports of having tremendous oil consumption due to the cleaning that I’m aware of. Am I mistaken to believe that stuck rings...
I called Valvoline customer service a few days ago. She said it’s currently only available at AutoZone but it should be carried by all other retailers this week or next. I asked which retailers and she didn’t know.

I have an ‘01 4Runner with the same engine with 240k miles. Lately I’ve been using Mobil 1 0w40 Euro and it runs like a top.
Like another user above, I’ve tried several viscosities in it- 5w20, 5w30, 10w30, 5w40, and 0w40 and all did fine. In your climate you’re good to use any of those. Look...
Thanks guys for clearing that up for me. I was under the impression that esters are a better cleaner than AN’s. And if AN’s are better at it than esters than this formula is an improvement from an already excellent blend, good news.
