What kind of PCV valve did your rebuilt engine get?
Well, I bought one that looks like shiny aluminum. There were some that were plastic, but...

Lol, that is not my cover. I took that pic from the link in this thread. I replaced the thing yesterday night and could take any pictures... Not that it is better than the one in...
I just changed this thing right here, the rocker gasket:
The old one was in pretty bad shape, like half the height of the new one and very stiff. BTW, after the rebuilding, the engine has never smoked after sitting overnight, not even when revving it high.

Yes, Tsuru GST 1995. Nissan made the engine from 1992 to 1997, after that, Mexico started making the nerfed version, I have no idea why.

It's got about 5000 miles now, do you think it hasn't worn in yet?

I have thought about that, but the fact that the oil level has stayed the same for 1000 miles makes me doubt.
It's Valvoline Synpower 10w-30.
Basically the only thing that is not new is the crankshaft and the camshafts, it is DOHC. The engine block is also the original iron cast one.
The thing is that it doesn't burn any oil.
The smoke is blueish, the engine is a very recently rebuilt Nissan GA16DE. Oil level is exactly where it was 1000 miles ago, when I did the oil change.
After coasting for say 10 miles or so, I step on the gas to the bottom, blueish smoke comes out for like 2 seconds, and after that I can rev it...
I think I may have found the culprit just now, though it still makes no sense to me: more than half a quart of extra oil that I just drained. Temps went back to the more usual 194 - 200 F, but certainly haven't reached the 212 F that was common with the Mobil 1.
