I have a hyundai accent with a 3.5 quart oil capacity (with filter). It has started developing some HLA noise on cold starts and Im contemplating using some Auto-Rx. The instructions now call for the full 12oz regardless of sump size. Will this be too much for the hyundai.

What's to stop a company from putting the better additive packages in conventional oil? Is the chemistry not compatible or is it simply another way to market the synthetics as "better".

It's weird because I never really noticed it until I switched over to synthetic (PP 5w-30) and now I hear it even after switching to the syntec blend.
