Thanks for the info guys. It’s been 2 yrs since the last oil change so I’ll go one more year. Also...several of you mentioned getting an oil test done. Where/how do I accomplish this? Who do I contact?

I have a 67 Camaro with a stock 327 and use the Amsoil Z-Rod 10W-30 oil. She sits in my garage most of the time and I put less than 1000 miles a year on this car. my question is this...given the type of oil I use and the low mileage put on the engine...how long can I go between oil changes...

Thanks for the replies. I've never really believed in any type of additive claiming "better preformance or increased MPG" because if those things actually happened they would be much more expensive than they are now. I Thought "what the [censored]...it cant hurt" so all I'm out is $9. Thanks...

Really did not see anything wrong with the engine or MPG...just thought that since the previous owner had used ethanol in the engine some type of fuel treatment would increase the MPG and performance. I did change the plugs and wires but that did not seem to really help but like I said...the...

I've been spending a lot of time recently trying to figure out who makes/supplies the Walmart brand Super Tech oil. Obviously Walmart does not manufacutre this oil so they have to purchase this oil somewhere. The Super Tech oil also comes with the approval stamp on each bottle so this indicates...

I live very close to work so I only drive 20-25 miles each day, drive about 600 miles a month and I use Mobil 1 10W-30 synthetic. Since I dont drive very much it takes me 9-10 months to get to the mileage required for an oil change. Does oil last that long? Since I drive so little am I waiting...

I only use Mobile 1 in my cars. I'm wondering what the difference in Mobile 1 and Wal-Mart oil is. The wal-mart oil has the approval seal on the bottle so is it the same as Mobile 1?
