Yes a 4967 filter. and 5000 mile oil changes are planned. Engine still quiet to me, however I'm used to listening to engine in my Subaru 2017 Crosstrek.
First of the Valvoline 0w16 went in today, along with a Fram Ultra filter 4957 ( it was cheaper than getting the wix by mail). Replaced Cabin filter (ugh it was dirty) and Air filter (not bad, changed anyway).
Okay, think I'm going to order the Valvoline 0w16 from Amazon (3 5qt for 78) that will get me through a year. Only thing on shelves in town is Mobil 1 0w16 AFE even that is hit or miss. Supposedly there is Pennzoil Platinum 0w16 anyone seen that?. From the my reading the Mobil 1 AFE is 70-80%...
Okay got rid of the white whale (2012 Honda Odyssey, 178000 miles). Wife wanted a high economy car with seat heaters, no new corollas available so she selected a 2109 Toyota Corolla hatchback XSE with the M20A-FKS engine. No problem I thought just put some Valvoline EP in at next oil change...
Well my test of the HPL cleaner in my son's 2008 Solara was a flop, went to check oil and see if mileage was good for a oil change. Clean oil on dipstick, yep he decided to go and change it last week and put his current fav Valvoline Synthetic HM in.
I used to be really bad at 20 something jugs of Pennzoil Platinum 5W30, then bought a new car that used 0W20 and I went what do I do now? My sons 2AZ-FE Solara is what happened and 5 years later it is all gone. Upside, his engine only needs around 1/4 quart top up every 5000 now.
I made it to about 1500 miles before I changed First Fill on my Crosstrek. Time for ours to have the CVT fluid changed using severe service every 24000 miles (Mountains, yeah). Far as Start/Stop there are prewired pig tails you can get on Ebay that will permanently disable the Start/Stop...
