Gents and Ladies, I'm replacing the u-joints in my 1990 volvo for what looks like the first time. It's got around 230k on it so I guess it's time. Anyways I would like to know what the best grease is to use for them. Thanks in advance.
Hello all, I'm fixing to swap all the fluids in the old 740 I bought. The girl is a little long in the tooth and the PO couldn't tell me what kind of oil he had in it. Which makes me think it would be a good idea to swap all of the fluids.
With that said the owners manual requires dextron-IId...

Thats the plan! I think it would great if I could roll another 250K on a $600 dollar car!

Thanks for the advice. I'm getting ready to do that ASAP...
Alright BITOG, I just picked up a sweet new ride a 1990 Volvo 740T for $600 bucks. It has been taken care of as good as could be expected for a 24 year old car. The PO has had it since 1995 and took care of it till the rear main seal started leaking. Which made them decide to get rid of it (that...

Hey daman, I'm not sure what FCI means. I'm pretty new here. I did check the acronym list but i couldn't find it there.
Thanks for all of the feedback guys. One more question. Where do the Napa Gold and napa Platinum filters rank compared to the pure ones and the fram ultra. (The upcoming Napa Filter Sale made me think of this).
Dirt Racer i understand people run different filters for different OCIs but i don't understand why spending a few extra bucks on a better filter is a bad thing. Even if its just insurance. I can understand why folks on here get intoto pushing the limits to see what they can accomplish but i...
So i will be running either Mobil 1 or PP/PU in my 2002 Sequoia and 2008 Tundra. I'm trying to nail down a filter. I will be performing 7000 mile OCIs for a few runs to get them cleaned out. Then possibly pushing it out a little Ionger. I want to run either a Mobil 1 filter our the Fram ultra...
