It will be junked, he just wants to see how far he can push it before it fails entirely. He might even abandon it at the Ford dealer he bought it at new, and who did all the maintenance for the past 10 years..... :p

Totally agree with sliding the wheel I've removed under the vehicle I'm working on, it also keeps it from being a tripping hazard. I also make sure to lower the car onto the jack stand while keeping some contact pressure on the jack. Belts and braces!

I have 3 cartridge oil filters in stock for my 06 Saturn Ion Redline. A WIX E/P, Mobil 1, or my go to, Hengst. The Hengst looks great, made in the US, but the WIX also looks really well made, and even has a wire mesh reinforcement on the inside of the filter which I've never seen before...

I would love to run a cone filter on my Ion Redline, so I can hear that supercharger whine again, but I travel lot's of dirt roads in the summer so I switched back to the OEM paper filter. Was always worried that I would end up wiping the lobes of my S/C running a K n N oiled cone filter.....
