Anyone Accidentally Find a Good Tub/Shower Cleaner You Never Expected?

I use the same thing. Even with a water softener on my well water, the old tile gets spots pretty easy. The fumes will indeed knock you back, but it works well. It's also septic safe. Something a lot of people don't consider with cleaning products.

Best primer for treated plywood outside?

The trim on my garage was treated 1x4 and 1x6. I primed it with Kilz3, but after a while all the knots started bleeding through. I had to go over those spots with Zinnser oil base. Been good since. No adhesion issues with the latex primer, but there was definitely bleed through.

    Dave’s Auto Center oil

I don't know why you responded the way you did to my quote, but my quote had nothing to do with Gale banks or anything else in your rant.

    Sheen for Exterior House Paint

Benjamin Moore # 1460 Silver Dollar. Swatch can be found in the classic series. I used to sell BM paint so I have the big fandeck

    Plastic Packaging

I love when you buy a knife in one of those packs, but need said knife to open the package

Who needs WD-40 King of the Hill edition?

Honestly Bobby looks like a picture of me when I was a kid :ROFLMAO:

    drained engine oil is red.

While not Euro's, I have a couple turbocharged direct injected vehicles that turn the used oil slightly red while draining. Not this red, but it's definitely noticeable.

    I hate pipe dope...

I use the Megaloc at home, at work I have some Rectorseal Tru-Blue. It's pretty darn similar. Not too many guys at work like to do plumbing, so being the jack of all trades it gets passed on to me. Honestly, I'd rather work on a sink or toilet over a 25HP motor/gearbox! :ROFLMAO:

    I hate pipe dope...

Not a real popular opinion, but I use tape and compound. It acts more as a lubricant to make sure you can get the fitting tight. Although last week I was replacing a fire pump compressor at work and only had my Blue Monster tape on hand and everything went fine. That tape is pretty thick though.

    Sheen for Exterior House Paint

When I converted my carport into a garage, I painted the 4x8 siding (similar to what you have) with BM Ben Low Lustre. I am pretty happy with it. Don't have any real closeups, but you can get the idea. EDIT: Been on there since Spring 2022 and not really showing signs of wear/fade. This...

    Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail Initial Impressions

Mine are wearing evenly, but after 10K miles, looks rather rapid. Haven't measured yet, but they're definitely wearing quicker that one would expect. However, I am a somewhat aggressive driver.

Post your Plans for America’s 250th Anniversary July 4

Staying home, away from people, cook a nice steak, staying "hydrated", and going to bed at 9pm. Hopefully the neighbors don't get too drunk and set the cornfield on fire. Lucky I can't see them this year due to said corn :ROFLMAO:

Study shows driving a manual transmission is good for your brain

I can honestly admit when I get behind a slow poke who can't figure their speed out and I'm bouncing between 3 different gears instead of one, it makes me scream internally.

$5000 off MSRP on all new Tundras and Tacomas

Even more trash talking on the 4th gen because well, 4 cylinder turbo  IMO the fuel tank size is a moot point, at least for me. I've been filling up on the same schedule as my 3rd gens as it gets better mileage. Now, guys adding lifts and armor, yea that really sucks for them...

    Mid-life crisis car plan

The current gen WRX is solid, a really nice car IMO. 4 doors, manual, and 30+MPG. Honestly I see mostly guys 40+ buy them. Although a lot of that is due to price. My '19 is kind of my mid life crisis car, bought at 35 though. I've always wanted one and it was "cheap". I'm pretty handy so odd...
