There is no need to go factory unless it is cheaper than other options for cabin air filters.

    Post your latest oil change

2020 Mazda CX5 Grand Touring 2.5L I4 35031 miles, 5000ish on this OCI. Went long calendar-time-wise on this one, about eight months. I have one last prepaid oil change to use with the dealer; the package expires in October, so mileage or not it'll be one more OCI before the pre-paid package...

    Post Your Latest CAF Change!

Check out the pic I posted last May (my next change will most likely be in May) :ROFLMAO: Given the little video clip the dealer tech showed me from my prepaid oil change last week the filter I pull out in a couple months should look similar, and will about ~10-12k on it.

    Post Your Latest CAF Change!

I wish I could get that many miles on the cabin filters for my CX5. The air in STL is gross; judging by how quickly my filters load up; the dealer always wants to change them with 5k miles on them. :ROFLMAO: (1yr/10-12k, after pollen season is my pattern)

    Post your latest tire purchase

I just had one of my CrossContact LX25s replaced under their new tire road hazard warranty, and I paid for the mount/balance/tax on it, nothing else. The nail stuck in nicely to the tread block right at the outer sidewall. I've had more tire problems with the CX5 than all the rest of my vehicles...

2021 Subaru Crosstrek with 2.5 engine

I've had the same experience with my CX5 and the 2.5L Skyactiv with 89 being a better experience. With as little as I drive these days, I'll pay the extra $3-5/tank (fill-up is usually in the 10-gallon range) and enjoy the driving experience just a bit more. :)

    US or Mexican Coke

Boylan's makes good stuff too, all cane sugar.

    US or Mexican Coke

Mexican Coke because it has real sugar in it. I miss the Pepsi and Moutain Dew throwback versions for the same reasons.

VW Did It Right- Key Fob

I wish Mazda hadn't made their fob so ridiculously bulky for 2020; it still uses a 2032 however the process of replacement requires pulling apart a lot of plastic, had to look up the process when I replaced the batteries in my fobs a few months ago. I'm sure I'll have to look it up again when...

What about Continental LX-25? $220 rebate ends 8/31

I'm on my second set of them, and I am very happy with them. I had a set on my 2013 Kia Sorento, traded it in with something like 15-20k miles on the tires, and they were performing and wearing wonderfully. Great in the typical amounts of snow I typically experience in STL, which are likely...

What are the worst tires you've used?

Kumho OEM tires on the 2011 Sportage I drove for a while and the 2013 Sorento that preceded my CX5. Downright dangerous in even light snow and not much better in wet conditions.

    New Oil at Walmart, TriboDyn

Thanks for the giggles on a Monday morning; this thread delivered more value than the oil likely would. 🤣

Auto Insurance deductibles on collision and comprehensive?

This depends on your own situation. Would a surprise $500 bill cause you any financial hardship? I fairly recently decided to lower my deductible to $250 because, yes, due to present life circumstances, a $500 bill would be difficult to contend with. $250 for the next couple of years would be...

Which fast food places seem to care about being clean?

Culver's tend to be quite good, at least in my experience with the ones in the STL area.
