Has anyone tried Lucas Slick Mist? A local dealer just started handling it.

I found 845 about 10 years ago and wondered where it was all those years. One of the easiest-to-use, longest lasting waxes I've ever used (and I'm 72 now). I'll stay with it to wax my ride thanks.

When I worked in the Gas Fitter trade, my whole box was Gray tools bought from a local supplier. The only thing I didn't like was their ratchets which tended to be very coarse and unrefined. But their tools are tough and have a lifetime warranty. Most are not as pretty as Snap-on, but a lot less...

Changed the oil and all filters in my Generac genset, my Chinese diesel, and my trusty old Honda snow blower. All got a dose of Mobil 1 10W30 like always.

Campbell-Hausfeld just responded to me that any small compressor made by them can use Mobil 1 10W30.

Well, I guess Google is your friend, though the answers given are all very vague and look like they're written by compressor oil salesmen. Basically it looks like compressor oil is old cheap detergentless oil. Anyhoo, seeing the difference in my compressor's performance, it's Mobil 1 for me...

Yeah, I'd have to see proof of that statement. There's just nothing in a compressor that would "defile" the oil. It's simply the bottom end of an engine with no top end contaminants.

His engine is a nice clean one with a cam, 4-barrel and stainless headers.

FWIW, I've been adding 3 ounces of 2-stroke to 6 gallons of fuel for 15 years now in a modified 2-liter VW Rabbit Pickup. Zero fuel related problems. I have occasionally used ATF also with no issues.

Yeah, compressor oil doesn't need to deal with products of combustion, so it is a cheaper (less additives) oil. M1 for me from now on !

This certainly is a problem with the new Fords. At the place where I work, we have a large fleet (140+) of Ford Super-Duty 350s and 450s. We have changed them all over to LED headlights and are VERY pleased with the results. Just be sure to get ones that are Canbus compliant and all will be well.
