The effects of 5W30 through small passages

Specifically who? Can you name names and link their testimony? I have visited an engine plant myself and no way in heck could I verify manufacturing details in such detail, and the failures in QC before shipping the engines. Plant was the International engine plant in Alabama. Start up...

The effects of 5W30 through small passages

This tear down was posted Nov 2025. Toy claims manufacturing debris. 2 manufacturing plants with same cleaning issues is tough to believe. Other thoughts are spun main bearings due to less than optimal engine design causes debris and engine failures.

    GM 6.2L troubles aren't over.

Ram Cummins diesels, sure, but we deal with diesels in general that work hard, not pavement princesses. An example. Thousands of hours on terrible roads and thousands of idle hours. Ecodiesels were pretty bad, no doubt.

    GM 6.2L troubles aren't over.

Working at a Ram dealership, I don't see new crate engines waiting to be put into Ram 1500's at all. Hemi or the Hurricane. However, on a visit to the local Toyota store 2 weeks ago this is what I saw in the customer service drive in bays.

Coffee makers...what works best for you?

I have found that the Costco K cups may break and spill grounds into your coffee with this model. The fix that I have found works, is to set the K cup into the bottom spike before closing the lid which has the top spike.

    EV lots getting cleaned out.

We took a Tesla model 3 in on trade in February. We auction EVs. And we don't have the time to put everything on a lift before listing it for auction. There was undisclosed underbody damage by the owner. It went to arbitration. We lost and relisted it with full disclosure. And sold it last week...

I Like Being Behind A Transport Truck On The Highway!

If you see the steel belts, its not the retread that failed. The whole tire failed, usually due to loss of tire pressure. Had a tour of a retread facility, they seemed to take their role in making a safe retread tire seriously. Admittedly a sample of one.

2025 Toyota Tundra SR Loaner - I really hate this truck!

Just happened to drop off my RAV4 today at the local Toy dealer for the end of 7 year ECP warranty inspection. Look what I happened to see in the customer drive in bay.

I’m shopping for tires our Toyota C-HR

These will likely be my next tires for my 2019 RAV4. My OE Michelin Primacy are aging and getting quite noisy at about 30,000 miles. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/pirelli-scorpion-as-plus-3

Lol look at these brake pads

I did my 2019 RAV4 Hybrid on the weekend. 4 rotors and new pads all around. Similar wear seen with one side pad wear double the other. First brake job at 52,000 miles. Used these. $275 USD delivered overnight. Seem to work well after a few days of driving...

Norway Hits Record 98.6% EV Share in April

Or there is this. Significant oil wealth at play. Without the oil, things would be very different for Norway. Total Government Expenditure: Total government spending (including intermediate consumption, salaries, and benefits) is projected to be very high, with 2024 figures showing per capita...

Carvana is now in the new car business.

I work at a Ram Jeep store. Just say no in the FI office and you walk away with a discounted Ram or Jeep, and no add ons. Nothing is preloaded for our store. Might be different in the US. Or shop further away?

The industry is WRONG: your best tires belong up front

A long thread, and didn't see if this was answered yet. Under acceleration, the front end lifts, tires get positive camber. Outside edge of tires gets more wear as a result. Had a similar issue with a fleet of Ford DRW box trucks I was managing. Excessive front outside tire wear. I had the...
