If you're able to rebuild the carburetor, I suggest getting a rebuild kit and installing new gaskets, diaphragms, inlet needle, metering lever, after disassembling and cleaning your current Walbro carb. The original Walbro carb will likely be machined better than the aftermarket cloned...
I found out that Shindaiwa USA was headquartered nearby in Tualatin OR before the merger with Echo which the parent company now own both brands. Home Depot sells the modern Shindaiwa T225 online alongside the Echo SRM-225 which are basically twins under different skins.
Compared to the two Echo SRM-210 trimmers also from the same era (2005 & 2008) that I just refurbished, the trigger on this Shindaiwa I feel has more range and I can feather more. My first run yesterday I found I was going 50% throttle most of the time and felt really powerful when I squeezed it...
Got it for free off of FB Marketplace listed as grandpa's old trimmer. This is a Shindaiwa T230X straight solid steel shaft trimmer with a S230 EPA 22.5cc engine. Wasn't running when I got it but did start with a squirt of fuel down the carb throat. My guess is it is a 2007-2008 final Shindaiwa...
Had an old corded electric weedeater for probably over 20 years that is old and tired. I started looking for a gas powered trimmer and picked up a free Shindaiwa off FB marketplace. Was told it was grandpa's old trimmer that's been sitting for a while. When I picked it up, the pull cord had...
Just completed the first OC yesterday since installing the Fumoto. No leaks observed on the valve or oil pan and no damage due to clearance issue. The plastic lever guard was still securely in place.
The Fumoto made the oil change easy and mess free. I didn't need to jack up the car to get...
Good point. I didn't even think about the ICE not going 3000K. I plan to run this Valvoline Restore and Protect #2 cycle to about 4000K miles and will see how the next filter looks inside.

Placed a last minute order with Serra last night, nothing high dollar some strut and rack boots and misc clips for free shipping over $75. I thought I would try one of the other SE Toyota dealerships to avoid Serra's long queue and one I've ordered from previously Springhill Toyota also...
I like the Pro-tec PXL57356 mentioned above. Good price if you get a case from RockAuto. We have a 2011 CRV 2.4L K24 and also a 2011 Fit 1.5L. I did a filter cut here.
I also like the Premium Guard PG4610 filters. You can find the Pronto version at RA or the Ecogard X4610. These are the same...
