To keep in your trunk to top off oil when checking oil at a gas station while traveling. I keep a quart bottle in each vehicle and refill from a 5 qrt. jug from home as required.
While my new vehicle topping is Griotts 3:1 I found myself needing to polish / wax her car in full so light on an 80 degree F. day. Nu Finish is one of the few toppings that can be applied on a hot sunny day to vehicle paint without streaming , clumping, etc. While no longer my first choice it...
Valvoline Restore and Protect works slowly . You may notice the dipstick is cleaner after one OCI but most all other cleaning accomplished after multiple Valvoline Restore and Protect oil changes . After one OCI the oil filter will not yield much either as again Valvoline Restore and Protect...
Good to note - I also failed to share that over the 3,800 miles / 6 months I’ve had to add close to one qrt. of Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30 make up oil , so there is that as far as replenishing helpful oil ingredients .

Yes and yes - I ran only one OCI of 5W20 (oil cap stamp) when new before switching to 5W30 synthetic full time which was allowed by Hyundai (along with 10W30).
The majority of decently maintained engines using vanilla Mobil 1 show clean engines with no varnish . It’s gets better as you move up to Mobil 1 Advanced Clean , Mobil 1 Truck and SUV , Mobil 1 Extended Performance (EP) and then the Mobil 1 0W ESP Euro oils (Mobil 1 0W40 Euro also) for reducing...
I appreciate the replies - this trip’s conditions are going to be an easy , level interstate drive at 80 degrees F . My thoughts are that while even on a Hyundai GDI engine that normally sees a 3,500 - 4,000 mile / 6 month OCI using good synthetic oils - it should be able to handle a 4,400 mile...
