AmsOil for my Chevy Cruise Diesel

I agree with it being a great oil, but it isn't a cure all for a vehicle that already has problems. I thought I could use it in a 199 Explorer that I had at one time to extend oil Change interval, after a freshly rebuilt engine. I sent an oil analysis away at 5000 kilometers, & found that the...

Cheap engine and transmission oil analyses???

the last samples I was billed about $33.00 CAD. AGAT labs. It is somewhat local to me, and I can drop the samples off, & save mailing charges.

Kawasaki FR730V 230 cca supplied battery

what mower is it in? I ask because I have a 2022 cub cadet. only has about 15 hours on the meter. Battery drained down to 8.6 volts over winter in heated storage. I never disconnected the cables in storage. I now have the cables unhooked & seems to be accepting a full charge, but plan on...

Oil Turned Dark in 40 miles.

It is hard to tell by color only. You say fuel dilution? Are you just going from smell? I always smell a gasoline odor in my oil, but rarely see fuel dilutuion at severe levels. & by smell I can't determine if one sample was worse than a previous until I get results back. Drive it for half...

    Synthetic 20W-50

Probably go with this one. cant seem to find specs on the SynPower. Maybe the same stuff. 20w-50 gives me a wide range of temps, and should have lots high enough HTHS. Might go back to the dealer and see what they have to offer.

    Synthetic 20W-50

A 15W-50 would probably be as well as a 20W-50. A 10W-40 would probably be fine too. Just thought the 50 would have a higher HTHS rating. 20W-50 gets me down to freezing temps. I will not have a need to start it at these temperatures, & if I do it will be in a heated structure.

    Synthetic 20W-50

I recently purchased a Cub Cadet Z-Force SX Zero turn mower. It has the Kawasaki FR730V Engine. They are an air cooled engine, with a 2.2 liter oil capacity, & no oil cooler. I think I am looking for an engine oil with a good HTHS quality. Has anyone used the Valvoline SynPower Motor Oil...

    Real world pickup fuel mileage?

I use fuelly app to track every liter of fuel burned in my 2018 f150 3.5 ecoboost. It was amazing to see how optimistic the fuel comsumption meter on the dash was from factory. I had to adjust the AFE fuel bias in the engineering test mode screen & have it a lot closer that the factory...

    Tesla Germany

Compare it between classes. As far as I can see an EV vehicle outweighs its gas powered counterpart. I use my truck to pull and haul loads that a car wouldn't be able to. I can't justify owning a 2nd vehicle in a 1 person household yet, when I need a vehicle I can depend on to make the...

2017 GMC Terrain with blown engine 51,000 miles

Yeah, I don't know the whole story. I only know what I have heard through her, but even so you wouldn't expect a car to be burning any oil at only 50,000 miles or 82, 000 kilometers, in a 3000 mile OCI or 5000 kilometer OCI. I don't know if it has a low oil level light, but by that point it...

2017 GMC Terrain with blown engine 51,000 miles

Yes, vehicle was owned by my ex's mother. I am not too sure on the history of the car, just was always serviced through dealer. Not sure how much oil it was using, or if it was getting checked often enough, or if maintenance was completed as needed, or if the OCI has always been this often or a...

2017 GMC Terrain with blown engine 51,000 miles

Yeah, probably not that easy to do with the ECM and everything else. Replacement salvage engines have to match up to serial numbers.

2017 GMC Terrain with blown engine 51,000 miles

A friend recently had the engine fail in a 2017 Terrain with the 2.4 Ecotec engine. She purchased it new from the dealer and oil changes were being done regularly at the dealer 3800 to 4000 or 5000 kilometer intervals. because it is 7 years old it is out of warranty period with only 82000...

    Well Water Filters

I use a 20 inch big blue system that was purchased from a Canadian company maxwater. Seems to work well, its a 3 filter system. The first filter has a clear housing, that allows you to see the condition of the filter.
