Dang, now that you mentioned it...after the 3 year warranty or in the future I can think on the euro oil. For now I should stay with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30.

It's a 5.3L. It most likely called for Mobil 1 5w-30. It's a ATK stock LM7/5.3L long block and it should be made to OEM specifications.

What oil? I had doubts because most of the people changing to euro oils had high mileage engines. Also, is that much better the euro oils for a LM7?

Hi, My 2001 Tahoe had its engine kaput. Now it has a rebuilt unit. The truck is used for daily driving but it lives on the hot tropic. Can I and should I use European car formula on a fresh engine? Can a 5w-30 Pennzoil Euro L or Mobil 1 FS 5w-30 protect better my engine? I am hesitant on using...
