    Ford 2.7 ecoboost recommendation

With lspi manu's have a real issue they can possibly deny warranty simple on oil choice. At a minimum with direct injection I would look at what oils meet your manu's spec. Good luck with it, Burla

    Ford 2.7 ecoboost recommendation

I'm not sure I would be using 0w40 in turbo direct injection engine, it's not recommended as far as I know in avoidance of lspi. Also moly is an lspi quencher, so if it were me I would look at short swing winter rating to weight oils with high moly and low calcium. Quaker state, RTAG, Amsoil...

2004 Camry Solara, 48,000 miles. Considering Redline Oil

Wrong forum to discuss real synthetic fluids, disinformation bombs liter this place anytime someone attempts to. You would get a much better discussion if you just agree that 6 qrt box oil is really the best oil on erf.

    Break-in oil No ZINC

This is a great thread, as zinc both encourages wear and discourages it. Would it not be better to have nothing in the oil for break it? I like the idea, but I think it would take some pretty fancy testing above my pay grade to answer the question.

That is a great deal, buy 2 or more. Good luck, and give it time as well. Follow up if it works or doesn't.

5.7 Started ticking: Best band aid?

We literally have guys at hemi forums that put new cam/lifters because of hemi tick, only to still have hemi tick. Maybe if you go to dealer they can give a guarantee, but if you are gonna fix something before it breaks, I would get it in writing to make sure they fix hemi tick as part of the...

5.7 Started ticking: Best band aid?

Nothing comes close to redline 5w30 at killing tick. It's really too bad that it wasn't a different brand name that did this, as somehow mentioning that brand is near a cusword around here. Go to ram forum and find out that time and time again this kills the tick. Go figure that the one...

    Best option for Coyote engine

The Hemi and Coyote are two engines both known for their ticks, that sound more like knocks. They tick for two different reasons, but either can benefit from hearty oils like the one you are using now. Also, you can add lubegard biotech to any oil to also give you protection for the metal...
