I just replace a 14 year old evap purge valve on my 2012 Hyundai Genesis with a new Gates valve. It lasted 3 days before it died. "Open Purge valve circuit" error code. It was Chinese made of course.

Potential problems include mixing two different chemistries. Additives in one oil may upset the balance of chemicals in the other oil. This smells like WAY overthinking things. I wouldn't do the mixing thing. Theres little benefit & potential problems with doing this.

R & P already has a lot of moly. No need to add more. You can add too much.

Restore & Protect is a fully formulated oil. You can run it forever. It also has seal conditioners.

Berrymans is excellent at removing carbon & varnish. Works on my small yard engines & cars. But it is not formulated the dissolve ethanol deposits****

25k oil is just like "lifetime tranission fluid".

Using Top Tier gas mostly eliminates the need for fuel cleaners.

It's still made with GTL, they just changed the label.

My take away is just fine. I didnt conflate them. ILSAC testing tends to be more stringent. But both standards are not very high. TBN is not germane to this conversation. Teardowns are also not applicable to this conversation.
