Looking for something with Kohler engine. Has Briggs and Stratton seriously improved their engines? One neighbor has 21 year old Craftsman rider w/Kohler V twin. Other neighbors have B&S Twins. They run about 3 years and become trouble.

It's a 95 w/KA24E engine. I've read Nissan improved the tensioners and guides to eliminate the chain problem. I am confident the engine will last another year. Since the maintenance history is unknown I am going to recommend a timing chain replacement in a year or two's time. That should give it...
