04 Subaru STi, 5w30 recommended, I use either 10w40, or 5w40. The 5w30 seems to burn off too easily.

The 10w40 HM seemed to work pretty good for me. Unlike other M1 weights i've used that would come out like water when changed. That last time I changed using RP, it came out just as thick as it went in. I don't know if that's bad or good. At least it's not shearing down to 0w.

I'm also looking for a good all year round oil for an 04 Subaru STi.

I'm currently running their 5w40 and have had success with other weights in the past. But i've recently heard that they are very secretive and are possibly not a "true" synthetic. Any info would be appreciated. I've also used M1 5w40 truck/suv until it was discontinuted and also M1 10w40 HM.

Yeah, I quit using M1 5w30 after about 1 or 2 changed. I've looked for the GC but around here is cannot be found! I may have to make a trip to Pittsburgh to either Pep Boys or Autozone to see if I can find it. I was hoping to find info on the new RP 5w40.

I'm looking for some input from people with that are more informed about this type of thing than myself. I've read on this site for a while but some of what I read just doesn't click. Just as I could spout off tax law and such and people look at me like . Anyway, I switched to symthetic (M1)...
