Not looking for the best boutique oil at all. 5w50 is the rated oil for polaris.
I asked about castrol edge in my original post on the powersports forum aswell. I did not bring up the amalie oil here because I am not asking about the "boutique atv oils" here just if anybody has done testing on...
Not a lot of replies in power sports forum and this more applies to passenger oil anyway. I am thinking of changing my polaris ranger over to a non UTV/ATV specific full synthetic oil either Castrol Edge 5w50 or Amsoil signature 5w50. The big issue with polaris is fuel dilution and oil shearing...
2021 xp1000 I have been using Amsoil polaris 5w50 oils but use the last quart in the case now I need to make decisions.
1. Do I stay with Amsoil or change to Amalie UTV which is $50 a case cheaper and higher rated.
2. Do I stick with a utv/atv oil which is made for wet transmissions which the...

I know of 4 people that had or have trailblazers that have sludge in the engine, 2 were to the point the engines had to be replaced. All were earlier year 02-04.
The mechanic that does all my heavy or nasty work is a 20yr Chevrolet dealer mechanic. I talked to him before buying my trailblazer...
