    going to put a shift kit in my allison 1000 so need some fluid. Amazon has Havoline Dexron VI for $45 a case of 12 acdelco is $22 a gallon. I like Delo oils by chevron not sure how good Havoline is as a product line. So is it all equal??

    that tsb does not say anything and there is not a replaceable pcv on the engine. All I was is if there is a better oil to buy for the extra 2 quarts over the standard oil I am already using.

    I just picked up a 2006 trailblazer 91k miles. It takes 7quarts now I have a bunch of peak syn 5w30 and next gen 5w30 and some Qs 5w30.     Wife's 2012 Equinox OCI

    In my Gf's 2012 Buick lacrosse I run M1 5w30 around 7k miles which is around 10-15% left on the OLM. I also run a standard non e core delco filter. Figure the OLM works off a syn blend oil as thats what the dealer's dexos is per 3 different dealers so the full syn has got to be better.

    I was picking up 2 more jugs today and noticed only the 5w30 is dexos approved. I wonder if they make that to a higher standard to meet the dexos requirments then the other grades????

    I dont think supertech is dexos approved though. Yeah I know its a matter of paying GM the license fee for putting the logo on the bottle. But it makes me feel better that its there.

    anybody know who makes the Peak full synthetic?? I just picked up a couple 5.1 jugs at AAP for $23 with a $10 rebate. I also see they are Dexos approved so I can use it in my gf's 2012 buick. Hope its a decent oil figured it had to be if it meets dexos standards??
