I put in valvoline extended ATF with lubegard platnium got about 6-7k on it, shifting smooth. Might put this in when I drain and fill at 30k

O nope sorry, but my transmission take same two fluid.

was the cap seal? if its not seal then I would be really cautious. I was thinking about buying on amazon until stuff like this happen, then I just went straight to autozone, luckily they had a discount at the time.

my 09 genny have 240k and I never did drain on it (because dealer said its lifetime and it cost over $1000 for the fluid) I'm contemplating of doing it now or just drop two bottle of Lubegard red and hope for the best.

I recently, (by recently I mean today) had a remanufacture transmission put in my car. I decided to go with Valvoline Extended Protection ATF because its newer (Technology?) and derive from maxlife. I almost went with amsoil but the price was more than double. I got 12 quarts for 90 bucks...

well its only 66k miles and its hard shifting into 2nd and 3rd, inspection today saw metal in the oil. Enough for warranty to agree to replace the transmission

that is a good idea, however if the fluid meet spec of the transmission, would it matter? I'm just trying to put in a better spec fluid that does not break down as fast and went through the same failure.

I took a look at their product, it does not seems like SP-IV-RR certification is part of their product.
