I will just go get the 5w30, thanks for all the replies. I will also wait for the first snow before running it again. Full synthetic change after first hour of use.

    New ariens snowblower

I had to make sure everything worked. And I figured heat cycling the engine was better than nothing. I dont see me changing the oil when it's 20 degrees outside and wanted to do it now.

    New ariens snowblower

I decided to get a new 254cc ariens snowblower with the ariens engine. I started it today for about 5 minutes to check the functionality, and yes the oil level was above minimum. All was well. Tomorrow, since it started to rain, I'd like to run it 3 more cycles of 5 minutes with a complete cool...

    That time Snowblower maintenance

I have an ariens 824 that broke last year during a 3 foot storm. Both the pull start and the drive linkage. To note, the 824 electric start is broken. I fixed it by purchasing a new ariens 254cc, although I think it's 7.2 hp compared to my old 8 hp. I ordered a pull start and will work on the...

    Post your latest oil change

2007 Tundra w/5.7 and 175400 miles. Out: 5 quarts Idemitsu 0w20, 2.5 quarts mobil1 0w20. Just over 10K on oil. In: 7.5 quarts of Idemitsu 0w20. Drained out 6.5 quarts, not bad using 1 quart over 10K, no makeup oil added. I am the original owner.

    Are New Vehicles Too Expensive?

New vehicles are too expensive, which is why I keep my 2007 I purchased new. Sticker was 37181, if I wanted the same truck today its 45K. I don't pay sticker, but just an example. 37k sticker was too much, and I'm speaking of a 2007 tundra crewmax trd. I would like a new one, but the cost is...

Toyota 5.7L, 0w-20 noisy, STP to thicken?

I have 173k miles on my 2007, using 0w20. I think 0w20 is fine, at least for me. Unless you know how the engine sounded since new, you can't say it is noisy. If you want to run a 5w30 synthetic, go for it, no harm done. See if it changes anything. If not, well, whatever. Run 0w20 and forget it...
