    Kawasaki FD750D EFI Engine

Anyone near central MN/WI in need of a good running Kawasaki FD750D EFI engine with ~450 hours on it? Liquid cooled, 25.5 HP. Engine is complete including ECU and voltage regulator: rig up a cooling system, muffler, and fuel pump and you're off to the races. $500 takes it home.

    Traction Control 2010 Buick Lucerne

If it truly is a traction control issue, then you've got a failing wheel speed sensor that hasn't gotten bad enough to set an ABS light. You need to hook up a quality scanner and monitor all four wheel speeds when taking off from a stop. Using the graphing function, you'll be able to see any...

    Traction Control 2010 Buick Lucerne

Sounds like the transmission isn't shifting down to 1st when you come to a stop. We had the same issue with my mom's '07 Impala and lived with it for over 150k miles. @clinebarger can explain what causes it in way better detail than I.

New LG 75” tv much heavier than old 75”

A basic 75" LCD will be fairly light, if a bit awkward, but once you start adding things like backlight zones, screen layers, fancy internal audio, cooling, etc. the weight adds up quickly. That being said, I would have thought a 77" OLED would weigh more than a premium 75" LED set but that's...

    New Tahoe or used QX-80?

23.6 gallons isn't all that small, our WJ has a 20 gallon tank and pulls maybe 19 MPG on the highway tops. Most 1/4 tank fill-ups happen with less than 250 miles on the trip meter, however. Definitely not a road trip truck. Meanwhile, my '01 S60 has a massive (for a small sedan) 23.5 gallon...

What are you working on today?

Forgot to share a side project from work: coworker asked me if I could replace the blower motor in his 2012 Focus because he had no interest in shoving himself under the dashboard  For those not aware: replacing the blower in this particular generation Foci requires pulling the glove...

What are you working on today?

Fairly successful 4th up at my good buddies family cabin, they've always got a couple projects for me that I'm happy to help with. This year's tasks were installing a replacement Cue touchscreen in said buddies Mom's 2016 SRX. It was my first attempt at said repair, but it turned out to be...

What are you working on today?

I decided to run Project Volvo up to the cabin for the 4th, figured I might as well put some miles on it before selling it off. Walmart installed a new set of Lexani Quattro Tempo's on Tuesday, and I slapped pads and rotors on all four corners last weekend as the last "fix" that was needed...

    Broken power steering pulley shaft!

I've seen at least a half dozen of that exact same failure over the years. Seems more common on Astro's and Express', but I've seen it in 'burbs and pickups too.

What are you working on today?

With project Volvo nearing completion, the final task on hand is to do a 4 corner brake job to cure a heavy pulsation from rusted rotors. I was able to get 3 of 4 wheels off with a lot of force and a breaker bar, but the right rear put up a massive fight. I ended up snapping my breaker bar at...

    Strut replacement

Nope, they get run down tight with a Milwaukee 3/4 and torqued by hand with a long extension (if necessary) and a big ol' 3/4 torque wrench.

What are you working on today?

Did the unthinkable and let someone else work on one of my vehicles today... had a shop do a 4-wheel alignment on project Volvo. I've had excellent results from these guys in the past, and today was no different. I'd installed front quick struts and a rear lateral arm, so it was a full on 4...
