What oil are you guys running in your 4 strokes? Merc oil has gone way up in price. 80 bucks a gallon for dino or 100 for semi synthetic. That seems a bit steep. I'm debating of buying some 5W40 synthetic and calling it a day for the Merc 30hp.

I changed the front U joints on my 2010 Silverado today. They were getting pretty old. I have a question regarding the 4wd operation. When the truck is in 2wd, does the front drive shaft from the transfer case to front diff turn or only when 4 hi or low is selected???
