Toro 621 4 stroke - what oil to use?

What does the manual say? That's always the best place to know for sure. I know for my Ryobi 4 stroke it calls for 20w-50. I am running 15w-40 Amsoil AME diesel oil in it now.

Dealer installed DEXIII instead of VI

I know the OP has an auto tranny, but do not put Dex VI in a manual tranny or transfer case that requires Dex III specs. DexVI is way too thin for manual tranny's and transfer cases requiring DexIII specs. There are service bulletins all over the GM community warning techs against this.

What do degrease a chain with?

Use a lemon. Cut it half way through and slide it on the chain. Then grab the pedal and pedal away. Works great.

Changed the oil in my K46 hydrostatic today

The magnet was clean for the most part other than the typical mud like substance you would find on a car/truck differential mag plug or tranny mag plug. There were not any other flakes, slivers or chunks of metal. The drained oil was browned but not black by any means.

Changed the oil in my K46 hydrostatic today

Took me four hours to remove the mower deck, remove transmission, drain, refill, re-install transmission, re-install mowerdeck and take it out for a quick test run. IMHO it is a very easy and straight forward job. No special tools are needed whatsoever unless you consider snap ring pliers a...

AAM is the manufacturer of the axles in our Dodge's. Right from the horse's mouth AAM... nothing more than 75w-90 would ever be needed unless you are towing max weight in Death Valley temps all the time. My last diff fluid change had 100,000 miles on the diff fluid. I used Amsoil Long Life...
