At least temporarily.
Watched the guys on Mythbusters punch a hole in the radiator.
Then they added a raw egg through the fill area and in 5-7 seconds the leak stopped.

A former brother-in-law had a sure-fire cooling system leak fix, too - half a box of instant mashed potato flakes. Try to guess what happened after the leak stopped. (Hint, arteries aren't the only thing that respond poorly to high starch intake...)

The Mytrhbuster guys dumped the whole egg in the radiator.

I think you should use the egg AND the oatmeal. And a couple strips of bacon, maybe a cup of coffee... apparently breakfast food is good for radiators.

Hey,stopping in at a 7-11 or a supermarket for an egg while on the road for an easy quick temporary fix is good to know.
It just may get you home or to a repair shop.

I used some Barr's awhile back, and It seems that I may have finally gotten most of it out of the system. When I finally changed the radiator and other components I noticed that it was all over the thermostat, the radiator cap, and had plugged the overflow line.
