ACdelco PF47 vs PF52

Yes Wix 51036 is the same as the Wix made PF52.
A member here cut these two filters open and they appear to be identical inside.
Things can get confusing because Champion labs also makes a PF 47 and PF 52 for AC Delco.
Buy a PF 52 at a GM dealership and it can be made by Champion or Wix.

Where I live O’Reilly auto parts used to have Wix 51036 for $5.00 and AC Delco PF-52 for $3.50.
If you run across any AC Delco filters that do not say Duraguard on the filter and the box leave then alone.
These filters were never intended for sale in the US.

O'Reilly's still carries Wix filters: The most commonly bought ones are right out on the shelf next to the Fram and Mobil 1 filters. That's where I bought the Wix 51040 that's on the car right now.

I suspect I'll have to ask at the counter -- or go to a NAPA store for a Gold filter -- to get a 51036 for my next change.
