Anyone have any experience with Redline's low vis racing oils such as the 2wt or 5wt? Just curious as we always see the PCMO's from RL and not their racing line which is supposed to be outstanding. Obviously not suitable for street use or even necessary.

If I didn't think that my mower would blow up or something, I'd give it a try in that, as I change the oil in that thing once a month. I also mow 3 hours a week to do my lawn, give or take depending on how high the rain made it grow so that is about 15 hours per change.

dunno about RL, as the low visc stuff wasn't available when I raced and built engines over 12 years ago, but Neo's 0W-5 was well worth using in things like Formula Ford 1600.
If you changed your honing procedure and bearing clearances you beat the wear problem too and made more power.

those oils are for drag racing only, for circuit racing u need a heavier oil

Quaker State has a full line of racing oil with 0W-5, 0W-20, 17.5W-35...
