First, let me explain that the SF20W50 was developed for dirt track racing for high HP smallblock alcohol burners and did very well under very punishing circumstances. We never had cam lobe scuffing problems or a dist shaft breakage with this oil. And oil analysis showed this oil could be severly diluted with aclhy and water and still resist wear.

Some motorcycle customers asked to try it in their engines as well and report their findings in BITOG.

SFD20W50 was various high viscosity PAO's, complex Esters, Group II+, and a dyn-o-mite additive pack. The only reason some Group II+ was in the mix was because some racers wanted some GII+ for sentimental reasons, even though our pure synthetic 20W50 (which we ran on the track but never marketed) was superior. Many dirttrack racers are so petroleum oil brain dead and price locked that it is tough to market a pure synthetic for their alcohol burners (ethanol or methanol).

Thanks for posting this info.
