Wix 51356 interchangeable to Wix 51334, right?

I own a 96 Mazda Miata, wix website list 51356 for it.
My brother just bought a 95 Subaru Legacy, wix website list 51334.
I did a first oil charge for my brother's car today, I figured out it will be easlier for me to use 51356 since I have the tool to remove the filter and I can buy a bunch at a time cheaper.
So now... I can sleep well tonight... right? Because I put a 51356 on the Subaru already...
