Last report can be found here on a 5,300 mile OCI: HERE

Blackstone/their analysis suggested to go longer and the results are below of a 7,000 mile OCI.

Truck hasn't been pushed too hard for a 3/4 ton. A few long trips, several 25 mile highway trips to work. Pulled a few car trailers and other light loads on this oil.

Delo 400 15W40 and Wix oil filter. Wix Air filter and fuel filter also. Almost 5 months on this sample. I use PowerService winter/summer additive on most tanks of fuel. No makeup oil-it doesn't appear to consume any noticable amounts.

Truck has an edge/attitude programmer set mild (levels 1 to 3 of 5, makes an additional 75ish rear wheel horsepower over stock).

I'm thinking I may try 9k-10k next sample.

I don't see why not! Great looking UOA, wear metals extremely low, insolubles low, sheering no issue, plenty of TBN left, 10,000 should be easy for that engine.

I don't think I've seen a better Duramax UOA... I put DELO 400 in my Duramax at the last OCI .. After seeing your results I'm anxious to see how my next UOA compares to the last one with Delvac-1.

D-Max's could run on canola oil and show minimal wear. No wonder there are so many high mileage D-Max's running around out there. They have proven themselves as a darn fine engine.
