How often should I grease balljoints.

This question is for my 91 Nissan Pathfinder. How often should I grease the front suspension ball joints , steering joints and drive shafts? they all have grease fittings. I don't drive off road just mainly in the city...TIA

Keep the joints plump with grease.

I'd do it every time you change the oil, I usually work the grease gun while i'm letting oil drain.

I do mine at least a couple of times per year. Usually at every oil change.

If the joint has a bleed hole, then every other oil change. If no bleed hole the once every 2 years and do not overfill.

I do it on my jeeps whenever practical. I've got 7 (IIRC) fittings in two Wranglers. It typically works out to about every 6 months/twice a year. My Caravan has two. I really need to assure that they get done every time it's on a lift. It sees too much urban/parking stuff per mile and they're the original 15 year old OEM joints w/ 178k on them. All of mine appear to have weep holes or shields that won't rupture if over loaded. Two pumps for the rod ends/steering joints ..and up to 4 for the ball joints.

I do it every oil change which is every 5000 mi. I still have the original ball joints on my Chevy truck at 280K mi.
