Moly: 1163
Potassium: 1
Boron: 18
Silicon: 9
Sodium: 13
Calcium: 1383
Magnesium: 11
Phosphorus: 1012
Zinc: 817
TBN: 6.8
This oil contains a lot of moly and not a lot of phosphorus. Usually the balance of phosphorus
to zinc is switched around, with more phos than zinc present. Note silicon, an anti-foam additive. The
flashpoint was lower than expected in this sample, bit not really a problem. We have found that the
more additive that is present in an oil, the lower the flashpoint. This base stock (before the additives
were added) would likely have a flashpoint of 450ºF or higher. The TBN read at 6.8, which is normal
for a gasoline engine oil. This is related to calcium.
