JOHN: This Turco oil employs sodium as a dispersent additive. The metals should not be there but at
these levels, they aren't going to hurt anything. The viscosity was okay for a 0W/20 grade. The
insolubles are odd. This oil had a blue dye in it so we could not appraise the true color of the
insolubles materials. Usually, in a virgin oil with a lot of molybdenum in it (944-ppm is a lot) we will get
molybdenum back out of the sample when we centrifuge it. That may be the case here, where the
insolubles are additive that came out of suspension.
