There any major differences in brands of 50W syn. Trans oil.

I need to change the oil in a couple of my trucks with Eaton transmissions that call for this fluid.

1 is a synchronized 5 spd in an 1989 Ford F-800

The other is an 18 Spd (2250 Ft. Lb rated) in an 06 KW

Also would this fluid harm my 1996 F-150 4.9L with the Mazda 5spd?

I know Eaton Roadranger makes a branded oil but I cant find it anywhere locally to save my life. This would be the preferred product for me but.

I really DONT want Amsoil just from personal experience. I would much rather pick up locally from a name brand refiners distributors warehouse.

Also its seems to be major $$$ any one know where to get a deal on this stuff.

I would suggest Texas Refinery Corp.'s gear oils. I have been using them for years in medium/heavy truck transmissions. One thing I notice is lower operating temps in the RoadRanger twin screw transmissions and easier shifting.

They make both dino and synthetic versions of the 50W truck transmission gear oil. Personally I use their 999 S&F gear oil in all my trucks transmissions. With the free UOA's I haven't had to change any of them yet since filling them with the TRC oil. If you want synthetic you might check out their Syntex 2000.
