Milling Machine Oil-lube?

According to the Van Norman #12 manual...Cutter head uses a special "Van Norman
Lubricant".

Also Ram and Feed Gear boxes..."use a good grade of oil having the
following specifications:

API Gravity: 23
Flash OC deg F: 450
SU Viscosity at 210 deg F: 73
Pour Point deg F: 0 "

Any one know what these translate to in today's vernacular?

80w90 gear oil will work fine in the gearboxes.

I would run an ISO 150 (sae ~90) industrial gear oil. mobil vactra #3 would be a good choice.
