GC in a Ford Duratec Engine

Has anyone tried GC in a Ford Duratec, 3.0L, DOHC engine? If so, how did it perform?

I just bought 5 quarts of GC "gold" at AZ with the intention of running them in my 4.0L Ford Explorer this winter (all winter, like 7-10,ooo miles)but your post is tempting me to put them in the 3.0L Duratec that is in my Escape.

I know that the 4.0L requires the oil a little thicker, so I think they will go in there.

For the 3.0L Duratec I guess I will keep going with the 5W-20, as I have 12 quarts of MC and Castrol lying around...
