I am purchasing 4 new tires for a used travel trailer. The orginals are dry rotted and need to be replaced. It will spend much time sitting in storage, off season and when not in use. How can I prolong the tire life in this situation? Thanks in advance.

Cool, dry and no sunlight and if possible jacked up so no weight on them or off the vehicle altogether.

Those things will extend the life, however, whilst the rubber has compounds in them to combat ageing eventually this will be used up and the rubber will rot.

I would add to keep the tires away from sources of ozone - like electric motors.

If you can put them in an airtight bag - better. If you can fill the bag with nitrogen - better still.

Hope this helps.
