I prefer hydrogen, they make a dandy highway flare if you need to summon help. Hydrogen is lighter than helium too.

New tires = better traction = more rolling resistance.

As the above states trucking mpg+ literature I have read states the same thing that newer tires will lower mpg by a small percent.

That small percent is an added measure of safety.

Ever been in a panic stop missing rear ending the guy buy inches? That is where tire safety-braking comes in.

Tires are the most important part of the vehicle but also the most understood. : (Taken from Bridgestone literature)
