Make: Kubota
Model: 105X
Engine: 105 hp turbocharged 4 cylinder
Oil used: Amsoil ACD 10W-30
Hours on sample: 241 hrs
Hours on Tractor: 311
Sump Capacity: 11 qts.
Oil Filters: BE-90 & EaO15
Oil analyzed by: OAI
First row with 30 hours was used to established a baseline. Second row is the current test with 241 hours on the oil. After the second test came back good, I changed out both oil filters and installed a EaBP100 & and EaO26 on the bypass mount.
Between the first and second test about 12 oz. of make up oil and about 10 oz. of LC20 was added. I also started running B20 soy biodiesel when the tractor had about 150 hrs on the odometer.
In terms of use, I know that during about 75%-80% of the 10W-30's life, the tractor was used in pulling a plow or other similar type work that caused the fuel economy to go into a freefall. In other words, we worked this tractor hard. The wear rates seem reasonable considering this is turbocharged 4 cylinder engine. However, I do not have enough experience with using hours as a unit of measurement to determine if anything would be out of order.
