All,

This latest sample shows much better Iron, Copper, and Lead. Could the high wear numbers in the previous sample have been caused by a bearing streak?

Thanks,

Could you have lugged the engine sometime in the last sample ? Wear is highest with high loads and low revs, even more so with diesels.

Not really as the truck spends most of it's life running down the highway.

Insoluables are running very nice on this analysis. Personally I would stick at the 15K mark because this was a winter run. Even though at 145K miles on an 04 truck it must only be shut off to change oil.

Use a 15W40 dino in the summer and the 5W40 in the winter.

Probably easiest to say, fantastic report.
