2000 Excursion 4x4 7.3 Power Stroke Diesel. I swwitched to AMSOIL 15W40 AME in November 2002 with approx 5,700 miles on truck. Full flow filter Mobil 1 til 7k, Mobil1 til 12k, Motorcraft currently, no By-Pass Filter. makeup oil was 3 qts for 2 filters and 1 qt top off for 20 qts total.

diesel fuel additives: Mainly Amsoils. Iron based fuel catalysts added to one tank about a month before the sample was drawn.
Mostly driven 2 miles and parked. Occasional trips and short trips into Phoenix to put some mileage on it. About 25 full throttle runs when testing out the catalysts less than a month before the sample was taken.
Looks like the fuel dilution brought the viscosity down some. Soot was extremely low.
