bench bleeding M/C-absolutely necessary?

I forgot to say that when you crack open the ABS bleeder just open it for a couple seconds then shut it and top off the reservoir. Repeat as nescessary until no more air comes out.

The special tool is a socket with a hollow tube that attaches to a reservoir to collect the fluid. When Ive bled the ABS on these cars all I used was a length of hose on the bleeder so I didnt shoot brake fluid everywhere (It comes out pretty fast and hard so be careful) and a 10mm wrench. The hose and a wrench does the same thing as the special tool but requires a little more finesse. Hope this helps.

I might as well do that too, I've never touched the fluid in the abs reservoir.

how come this procedure isn't in my acura shop manual for this vehicle? all it says is you need special equipment which only the dealer has.

thanks for the tip.
