Hey All,
After hanging out here on the board all summer I went back to work about 2 weeks ago. I was helping on some maintence of our equipment. I perform eddy current testing in Nuclear Power Plants. We use a probe pusher that has a capable speed of 75 in/s which is fairly fast. The system is driven by a .75 hp electric motor and it runs a drive shaft that basically hooks up to a rearend gear setup. We run it forward and back ALL DAY LONG. So these units see ALOT of miles every job. Any suggestions for gear oil for them? If the parts were cheap to repair them it would be one thing, but the gears are $$$. It just uses a basic 75w90 gear oil.
