What is the difference btwn Worm Gear Oil and Cylindrical Oil?

I was looking for a replacement to cylesstic TK 1000, at least thats the spec the old lub. company gave me. I was sent a extra hecla super cylinder oil. It's not slimey like our old oil its tackier. HELP!!!!

Worm gear oil needs a fairly heavy oil with a tackifier, hence the TK1000 designation.

Shell has always had a range of synthetic worm drive gear lubricants. Since the early 1960's that I can recall

Contact their Service centre for more data - they have decades of experience with this type of lubricant
