Castrol Transmax J

My wifes new Subaru Tribeca uses a transmission fluid I can't find.
IDEMITSU ATF HP
Castrol Transmax J
Pennzoil ATF-J*
* Available only in the US
This info comes straight out of the 2006 owners manual page 11-15.

Do You think I might be able to use Castrol Transmax Z or TM like whats in the new Allison transmissions?
I'm planning a 12,000 mile transmission filter change, Purolator P1285 spin-on and a fluid top off.
Does anyone know what the actual factory fill fluid was?

It's probably a JWS 3309 type fluid like Toyota T-IV for use in Aisin-Warner transmissions. If it is, you can use Mobil ATF 3309.

Its the same as Nissan J-matic for 'J'atco boxes and just an overpriced HFM blended synth from the dealer.
Hit either the Sube or Nissan dealer for the correct fluid if you are warranty paranoid. If not, use a multivehicle synth or blend.

I recall seeing Cottman transmission carry their own branded IDEMITSU fluid for sale at their locations... Sorry didn't pick up the bottle to check the further details/specs...
