I got the diff fluid changed! Thanks to all who helped me do this for the 1st time!

The Right Stuff seems to work well as I drove the car around for awhile and it is not leaking! The Right Stuff cures in 5 minutes so I had to work really fast and I still did not get the diff cover back on and torqued in time. It took me 13 minutes to get it all back together but it seems to have still worked...I hope! Anyway I'll get the other car done in the next few days.

P.S. The Silverado diff only held a tad over 2 qts of oil. I thought it would hold alot more but it is full!

Wow only 2 qt and change??

On my 2003 Ford E-250 it took 3 quarts and change.

My Ford RWD cars take about 2.25 qt.

I like using the "Right Stuff"...I've used it on my valve covers--excellent stuff...for my two differentials on my RC I used a fiber gasket and some hylomar stuff...no drips over the past 6 months...

My Ford 8.8's takes 2.25-2.5 qt

The Ford 7.5 takes 2 qt

and the Dana 60 (9.75" ring gear) on the Ford E-250 takes 3 qt and change
