Magnetic Smartphone Holders

Greetings All-
does anyone know if the magnetic iPhone dashboard smartphone holders damage the phone or the permanent built in magnetic compass?

I can't speak regarding how they interact with iPhones, but I have one that I've used for well over a year with both my Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S7edge, and I've yet to encounter any issues with either the phone itself, or its ability to monitor GPS or direction.

I use one for my Samsung. Works great.

I had one for my Galaxy S6. Worked fine. Sometimes it slid off the magnet if I mounted it too low. I eventually stopped using it because I couldn't use my wireless charger with the magnet on. I'd have to remove the smartphone cover every time I wanted to charge the phone wirelessly.

Been using one for a couple years and never an issue.

use the Steele system, only problem is when the magnet gets close to your bank cards it zaps out the strip. I just got used to putting in pocket away from cards.
