I picked these up yesterday for $10, they look decent and are tight. Made in China made so they should be considered 100% disposable if used for anything more than household and light use. they do cut wire easily because of the compound leverage.
I threw them in the bag I keep in the car which is made up of stuff a little better than HF or old tools that have been replaced. For this use they are okay, they take the place of 2 tools, needle nose and cutters.

I use this bag. Cheap enough and its okay. If the bag got stolen my biggest loss would be the jump pack.

That's a nice looking tool bag. I like it. Way more discrete than a tool box or mechanics set if it's in a visible area.

I'm becoming quite the fan of GW tools. They seem to be a few steps higher than the decent HF stuff, but at a similar price point.

The GW stuff is okay, its not Channellock, Klein or other top names but its more than usable until the teeth wear down or it breaks then you toss it.
Yes the bag is very cool, I like that thing.
Look for Engineer brand pliers on Amazon, they are made in Japan and beautifully finished at a low to mid price point, they have the nicest handle covers I have used and have induction hardened teeth.

These are special for removing buggered screws, they are truly fantastic. They import them under the Vampire name in the US for more money. Look up the pat# on vampire and it comes back to this Engineer company in Japan.

Those pliers came Saturday. I already put them to use, another tool well worth the money. Thanks for pointing them out to me!!

Put the Engineer pliers on my to buy list.

The PZ-58 is smaller, and works with screws up to 3/8. The PZ-59 works on screws round about 1/8 to 9/16. Not sure which one to buy.

Most screws I have problems with are in the up to 3/8 range. On the other hand, the larger PZ-59 I would think would afford a stronger grip on the screw head.

Anyway, wish I had these the other week when removing a dash pot off of a throttle body. The two machine threaded screws had been on there for 27 years, and were a super PITA to get off.

Yep. I made the mistake of looking at the Nepros he mentioned today in the ratchet thread. Tempting!

I ended up suggesting these to her if she needed any Christmas ideas.

Received them today. Can't wait to try them out.

I have them, and they work very well for what they were designed to do. Well worth the money imo.
